At GFG Safaris I have developed a two day program that will take your child through a step by step process to prepare them physically, and mentally, for their first African Hunting experience.

After a morning of theory training , we go to the range where we start, depending on their age, with either air-rifles, or 22 rimfire rifles. These theory & practical lessons develops the skills and confidence of the upcoming hunter.

During this training they will shoot about fifty shots at standard targets before progressing to photo targets. On these targets they will focus on shot placement, again building their confidence and getting them ready for the next day's hunt.

The shooting is finalised by letting them shoot with either their own, or one of our hunting rifles. This is where they finally prove, to themselves, that they are ready for the next day's hunt.

That evening we have a braai (bbq) and recap possible scenarios they could encounter the following day.
